“Poetry for a Shared World”
Poetry Contest Criteria
Must be original poetry. All forms and lengths of poetry are accepted.
Content must be appropriate for general public and public viewing spaces.
No religious, political, graphically violent or overtly sexual content.
Provide translation, if submitted in a language other than English.
Poets 6 years old thru adult may submit a poem. Parental consent for children is required.
Poets may submit only one poem per person.
Poet retains copyright of poem.
By submitting a poem, permission is given to use it for promotional, documentary, or celebratory purposes.
If you do not wish to submit a poem on our online form, you can bring a handwritten or printed copy of your poem to the Waupaca Public Library, Marked- Attn: Laura Jandacek.
Poetry submissions accepted from March 1st - April 4th.
Three selected winners will be notified on April 20th.
Gift card prizes will be awarded to the winners!
Poetry contest winners will be invited to read their poems at our Poetry Reading & Open Mic Night event on April 29th.
