My husband and I moved to Waupaca in 1989 due to a job transfer. Once we landed here, we had no desire to leave. This is such a great town.
We raised our 2 daughters here. We now have 2 wonderful son-in-laws, one grand daughter and one more on the way.
I grew up in Marshfield WI with a mother that made pretty much everything from scratch. Holidays and celebrations were always full of her wonderful home cooking and baking.
The love of baking was passed down to some of her kids, one of which is me.
I am just a home baker who loves the satisfaction of a new recipe (that works), and the pleasure these goodies bring to friends and family. Baking is therapy; satisfying, rewarding and a symbol of love for those on the receiving end.
