Biennial Bach Fest

The Biennial Bach Fest in Waupaca, Wisconsin, is a week-long celebration of the music and legacy of Johann Sebastian Bach. Held every two years, the festival features concerts, educational programs, community performances, and artistic events that highlight Bach's timeless works and the beauty of Baroque music. Presented by the Waupaca Community Arts Board, Bach Fest brings together musicians, audiences, and the community to celebrate one of history's greatest composers in a welcoming and inspiring setting.

Below are the tentative plans we have for the week. Stay tuned for in depth details about the week-long event.

Monday, September 21st - The Arts Hub • 6:30 p.m.  Winchester Academy presents Stacey Berk and the Baroque Oboe. 

Tuesday, September 22nd - Empty Barrel Distillery • 6:30 p.m. Bach and the Art of Charcuterie!  Enjoy this delicious workshop presented by The Gouda Life, featuring live Bach music and fancy cocktails and mocktails for purchase! 

Wednesday, September 23rd - Music & Wine Intertwine, at the Arts Hub • 6:30 p.m. Get into the “spirit” of Bach Week, as Nell Buchman discusses composers that will be featured at Thursday’s Community Bach concert! 

Thursday, September 24th - Community Bach Concert at Trinity Lutheran Church • 6:30 p.m. Various local and regional musicians play the music of Bach and other great composers, featuring pianist Clara Dunne. 

Friday, September 25th - Bach in the Brewery at HH HINDER BREWING CO. • 6:30 p.m. Stas Venglevski plays Baroque music on the Russian Bayan! 

Saturday, September 26th - Bach Family Fun Day at the Arts HUB • 1 p.m. Various fun classical music-related activities for families, including Bach T-shirt Screen printing, sheet music craft project, The Life of Bach story time, Periods of classical music presented by Hub music students, a special kid’s concert by Stas Venglevski (Russian Bayan musician), treats, a special Bach Concert by Arts Hub music students, and more! 

Sunday, September 27th - Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra (CWSO) at St Mary Magdalene Church:  Chamber Concert • 6:30 p.m. Featuring pianist Nell Buchman, followed by desserts and wine.
