We are always excited to bring community members into the fold of the Waupaca Community Arts Board, where your fresh perspective and energy help strengthen our mission to support the arts in our community. Whether you want to sit in on a meeting and see what we are about, become a board member, or help volunteer for our events, we welcome you!

Volunteering with the Waupaca Community Arts Board is a rewarding way to support and celebrate local creativity. Helping with our various events—from planning and setup to welcoming guests—builds strong community connections and brings people together through art, music, and shared experiences. It’s meaningful work that highlights the power of the arts to enrich Waupaca and create lasting memories.

Levels of Volunteer Engagement

Event Helpers-

Join us for one event, no prior experience needed. This is the most common and easiest way to get involved with us!

Level 1

Ticket takers, event set-up and/or take-down and clean up, welcome guests, usher and hand out programs, art show set-up and/or take-down, information booth attendant, bartender, snack table attendant, workshop helper, art show booth sitter, etc..


Event Support Team-

One week to five months depending on project. Ideal for people who want to be involved in a particular project.

Level 2

Join a focused WCAB sub-committee and assist with the event planning or creative project. Attendance of specific project meetings is required. Flexible scheduling of meetings and no long-term commitment to the Board. Example: Community Art Project, mural artists, workshop artists


Satellite Member of WCAB-

Works on WCAB Program or Committee for a specific purpose or event. Ideal for people who like purpose and progress.

Level 3

Members attend meetings that pertain to the specific purpose or event that they are engaged in. Attendance of monthly WCAB meetings is not required unless you are reporting on your event or intended purpose to the Board at large. Examples: Bach Fest sub-committee, Poetry Committee


Associate Member of WCAB-

Ideal for people who enjoy helping with events and event planning and would like to be more involved with WCAB as a whole.

Level 4

Members who are committed to the WCAB mission, vision, and values. Members attend monthly WCAB board meetings and are actively involved in several events. After one year of attending meetings, associate members may become voting board members based on the capacity and determination of the board.


Board Member of WCAB-

Level 5

Members who are committed to the WCAB mission, vision, and values. Attendance of monthly board meetings is required. Members must serve on various sub-committees and are involved in all event planning. Members must follow and uphold board guidelines and participate in the voting process as necessary.
