Kelvin Kaspar- Guitar
Kelvin began playing music professionally when he was sixteen. He formed a band with high school friends and played all over Wisconsin performing a variety of popular music. His love for music then led him to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he graduated with a Jazz Performance degree on guitar. Since graduation in 2008, Kelvin has a wide variety of sideman performance credits including Wayne Newton and Saturday Night Live cast members. Kelvin has also performed alongside a variety of touring musicians such as vocalists Typhanie Monique, Raquel Rodriguez, Janet Planet, B3 organist Ben Paterson and trombonist Natalie Cressman. Music has brought Kelvin all around the United States but locally he can be seen performing with The Pocket Kings, Tae and the Neighborly, Stephen Cooper and Nobody Famous, Stuck on Blue, The Celebration Church Worship Team and many other small ensembles.
Shelley Olinger- Piano
I grew up in Waupaca, taking piano lessons from Marie Osborn, then studied with Beverly Hassel at UW-Oshkosh, graduating with a degree in Music.
After many years living, raising a family and working in IT in the Twin Cities, I'm retired back in Waupaca enjoying this wonderful community.
Stacey Berk- Oboe
Stacey Berk is Professor of Oboe and Music Theory/Composition at UW–Stevens Point. Whether you're a musician, a Bach enthusiast, or simply curious about historical instruments, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for the sounds, craftsmanship, and performance traditions of the Baroque era.
Sandy Gindt- Piano
Sandy Engbretson Gindt, a graduate of Waupaca High School, developed her love of music through local piano lessons with the late Marie Haebig Osborn and then through participation in the high school choral music department, which included accompanying choirs and other students in solo and ensemble work.
Sandy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in music, with a piano emphasis, from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. In addition to playing piano for various churches and organizations, her dedication to classical music has continued through service as a past president and board member of the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra’s board of directors.
Grace Hopkins- Cello
Grace Hopkins is a first-year student at Lawrence University, studying biochemistry and cello performance with Professor Kivie Cahn-Lipman. She is from Ann Arbor, MI and has been playing cello for 14 years. In her free time, Grace enjoys bird watching, running, spending time with her dog, and playing Bach!
Clara Dunne- Piano
Clara Dunne is a pianist from St. Paul MN and is just starting her first year at Lawrence University as a Bachelor of Music student. She has been playing the piano for 14 years with teacher Rebekah Richards, and has played in the Bach Festival three times before. This summer Clara participated in the Lawrence Summer Music Institute where she took lessons with Lawrence professors Michael Mizrahi and Anthony Padilla and performed a piano quintet with. Clara is thrilled to be participating in the Waupaca Bach Festival again!
Waupaca High School Choir
The Madrigal/Vocal Jazz Ensemble is an auditioned vocal group at Waupaca High School. This group can often be seen around Waupaca during the holiday season singing their Madrigal music. This ensemble is under the direction of Anna Lussier.
Erin Krebs- Flute
Erin Krebs is a flutist, vocalist, and teacher. A ten-time WAMI Award winner, including two for flute, she earned a Bachelor of Music Education from UW-Oshkosh where she studied flute with Dr. James Grine. Though Erin is known for her Jazz & Blues singing across Wisconsin and beyond, she loves playing flute! Erin also teaches private lessons to students of all ages in the Fox Cities.
Logan Foster- Vocal
Logan Foster is a choral music education student at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and a proud native of Waupaca.
At UW–Stevens Point, Logan has been actively involved in the university’s choral program, performing in all three campus choirs and gaining experience in ensemble singing, musicianship, and performance.
In addition to singing, Logan has expanded his experience on the podium by conducting two university choirs, where he developed rehearsal techniques and confidence as a conductor. He also has experience providing voice lessons to fellow college students, helping singers improve their vocal technique and confidence.
Logan hopes to inspire future generations of musicians by fostering creativity, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of music both inside and outside the classroom.
